Navigator: Methodology
and sample
Navigator uses an accurately calibrated sample of ‘active gamers’ based
on Compass data as well as near market gamers.
The definition of an
‘active gamer’ for this survey is one who has bought a videogame in
the last 12 months. The definition of an active console is one on which
the respondent has played a game in the last month.
In order to protect
the quality of the data no gamer is asked about more than 50 up and
coming titles.
Navigator has potential for further growth in terms of
sample size, geographical scope and frequency.
Navigator Europe
The annual sample is 23,000 gamer/near gamers aged 10-45 in each
of the UK, France and Germany. 50 titles are tracked per wave.
Navigator
US

Publication
Navigator typically publishes monthly apart from during the build
up to the Christmas period. During this period (from October to
December) a wave is published every two weeks.
Navigator is analysed
and compiled by Arkenford.
